University Care Advantage contracts with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid
Services (CMS) to offer Medicare services and prescription drug coverage for
University Care Advantage members with Medicare. If you have Medicare Parts A & B,
are on Medicaid and live in Pima, Cochise, Pinal, or Santa Cruz County, you may be eligible to enroll.

University Care Advantage (UCA) is a Medicare Special Needs Plan who contracts with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to offer Medicare services and prescription drug coverage. To qualify, you must be eligible for Medicare Part A, enrolled in Medicare Part B & AHCCCS, and live in Pima, Cochise, Pinal, or Santa Cruz County. UCA offers Medicare benefits plus additional benefits to help you with dental, hearing, and vision.
You must receive all routine care from plan providers. You must use plan providers except in emergent or urgent care situations or for out-of area renal dialysis. If you obtain routine care from out-of-network providers neither Medicare or University Care Advantage will be responsible for the costs.
You may be able to get extra help to pay for your prescription drug premiums and costs. To see if you qualify for extra help, call:
- Medicare at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). TTY/TDD users should call 1-877-486-2048, 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
- The Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. TTY/TTD users should call 1-800-325-0778
- AHCCCS at 1-800-654-5437
